Product Description
This Heaven & Earth Sobachoko Cup “Cloud” is designed by Rina Araki, inspired by the theme of sky and earth.
The piece expresses the beauty of clouds floating in the atmosphere, creating a miniature universe within the space. The surface combines textured and metallic glazes with softly transitioning cloud imagery, resulting in a harmonious and organic aesthetic.
Each piece is crafted using a unique process where overglaze transfer is applied onto a base with different clay bodies and glazes. This advanced technique achieves an organic beauty that traditional transfer methods could not replicate, showcasing the refined craftsmanship of Japanese ceramics.
Suitable for use as tableware or as a decorative object such as a small container, it blends functionality with artistic expression.
